Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Clove is published by KiwiJuice. This policy explains what data Clove uses, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, show third-party ads or track you across apps and websites.

Account

Clove uses Sign in with Apple. We receive a unique identifier for your account and, if you choose to share it, your email address (which may be an Apple private relay address). We use them only to run your account and keep your library in sync.

Recipes and imports

When you import a video, Clove sends its link to our server. The server retrieves the public video, its description and a few public comments, and uses AI services to transcribe it, write a structured recipe, estimate its cost and generate a photo of the dish. Your library, edits, favorites and personal photos are stored with your account.

By default, a recipe imported from a public video can also appear in the shared Clove catalog, without your name or account details. You can turn sharing off before an import. Your edits, favorites and personal photos are never published.

Service providers

We rely on the following processors, only for the purposes described above:

On your iPhone

Clove keeps a local copy of your library and your preferences on your device so you can use it offline. Your session is stored in the iOS Keychain.

Retention and deletion

Deleted recipes stay in the trash for 30 days, then are removed. You can ask for your account and all associated data to be deleted at any time by writing to [email protected]. Recipes already published to the shared catalog stay available without any link to you.

Children

Clove is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to its processing. Contact us at [email protected].

Changes

We will update this page when Clove changes how it handles data, and change the date above.
